Jenny Cullinan

Jenny is a sculptor who works exclusively in botanic materials. Her seed sculpture captures the ever-changing cycle that is nature. A row of beads surrounds the opening of a seed that protects itself with a series of thorns. The work speaks on a symbolic level to a sort of natural vagina that opens and closes with the passing of time, making the simple seed pod assume an erotic persona. Other works incorporate bark, wood and other treasures in nature.
